The AccuSense Chemical Recognition System was developed in response to First Responder requirements for a small, stable, reliable and portable chemical detection system. AccuSense will detect, monitor and accurately identify hundreds of potentially harmful airborne substances. AccuSense will effectively detect a wide range of chemicals with a very low rate of false positives (<1%) in comparison to any competitive product.

AccuSense incorporates a broad range of unique characteristics, with the rare ability to learn and enter new chemicals and compounds into memory. This allows for a virtually limitless ability to identify chemicals at concentrations in the very low parts per million (ppm) range (chemical dependent). The identification of chemicals can be performed at a location remote from the actual device via wireless communications. Therefore, human intervention is kept to a minimum.

The capability of AccuSense to quickly analyze and compare data from its 2 Gas Chromatography (GC) columns, with accurate and timely response in a portable product, is an absolutely unique breakthrough.  If a substance or vapor is recognized as different from air, AccuSense is capable of detecting it. Furthermore, the AccuSense can identify up to 16 chemicals per sample and display their respective concentration levels – another feature making the AccuSense unique in the chemical detector marketplace. The AccuSense operates on a 3 minute sample cycle, so chemical analysis results are quickly available to the user.

Environmental confusers and masking agents have been known to confound other chemical detection technologies. AccuSense is different in that it uses proprietary two dimensional (2D) filtering algorithms, which enable the system to analyze and identify both confusers and masking agents – along with potentially hazardous chemicals.

AccuSense has a simple user interface and is designed for setup and operation by non-technicians.  Once powered up and operating, no further human intervention is required – as long as power and communications are maintained.

AccuSense technology enables an extremely accurate, cost effective means of detecting and identifying multiple chemicals simultaneously in a field deployable package.  In short, AccuSense brings laboratory results to the field in a portable package.  The device measures 15" x 12" x 6" and weighs approximately 15 pounds with an internal radio and battery pack. A laptop PC attached directly or wirelessly is used for analysis and presentation of the results.
