Scenario 1:

A Sheriff in a rural or urban area chases a suspected felon.  He leaves his vehicle (GPS Initialization Point – where the base radio is located) and takes off on foot pursuing a suspect. The Sheriff is shot or injured and radios for help, but since he is separated from the vehicle, there is no way to ascertain the exact position where he went down.  Even if he had a GPS-equipped handheld radio, if he pursued the suspect into a building, cave, or a tunnel, his position might not be available.  If he was equipped with a NAViSEER unit attached to his radio, as long as his handheld radio could communicate with the more powerful radio in his vehicle, his exact position could be tracked and the backup or rescue teams could be routed directly to him.

Scenario 2:

A SWAT team is deployed in a hostage situation in a multi-level building.  NAViSEER-equipped SWAT members could be tracked as they move up and down stairs and within the building as they move into position.  This is especially valuable if they are deploying on multiple floors and their positions need to be coordinated before they are given the GO/NO GO signal.  Knowing the position of the deployed SWAT members also helps the snipers from inadvertently targeting their own people. 

This scenario is dependent upon having a 3D model of the building available to our visualization software.  However, if such a model is available, our SEER3D software will make outside building walls appear transparent, so that the avatar respresentations of the NAViSEER-equipped SWAT members can be seen moving around "inside" the building.

For a SWAT operation in a residential area or single-level building industrial area, a 2D visualization from GoogleEarth or similar product could be used. The SEER3D software can overlay the 2D respresentation with the movement and position of the NAViSEER-equipped SWAT members.
